三峯神社は、埼玉県秩父市の奥深い山中、標高約1,100メートルに鎮座する由緒ある神社です。日本武尊（やまとたけるのみこと）を主祭神とし、古くから関東屈指の霊場として知られてきました。
山岳信仰や修験道と深く結びつき、厳しい自然環境の中で信仰を育んできたことから、強い浄化力や守護の力を持つ神社として信仰されています。
三峯神社の大きな特徴の一つは、狛犬の代わりに狼（おおかみ）が神の使いとして祀られていることです。狼は「お犬さま」と呼ばれ、盗難除けや魔除けの守護神として、今も篤い信仰を集めています。
節分の日には、「鬼は外、福は内」とともに「ごもっともさま」と掛け声をかけるごもっとも神事でも有名です。
Mitsumine Shrine is a historic Shinto shrine located deep in the mountains of Chichibu, Saitama Prefecture, at an elevation of about 1,100 meters. It enshrines Yamato Takeru no Mikoto and has long been regarded as one of the most sacred spiritual sites in the Kanto region.
Closely associated with mountain worship and Shugendō (ascetic mountain practice), the shrine is believed to possess strong powers of purification and protection.
One of the most distinctive features of Mitsumine Shrine is that wolves, not lions, serve as the divine messengers. Known as Oinu-sama (honorable wolves), they are revered as guardians against misfortune, theft, and evil spirits.
On Setsubun, the shrine is well known for the Gomottomo ritual, where people chant “Gomottomo-sama” along with “Oni wa soto, fuku wa uchi.”
