伊根の舟屋（いねのふなや）は、京都府与謝郡伊根町の伊根湾沿いに立ち並ぶ、全国でも非常に珍しい建築様式の集落です。海に面して建てられた舟屋は、1階部分が船を格納するための船置き場、2階部分が住居や物置として使われています。
この舟屋群は江戸時代から続く漁業文化の中で発展してきました。穏やかな伊根湾の地形と、漁業と密接に結びついた人々の暮らしが、現在まで良好な景観として保たれています。現在では約230棟の舟屋が残り、国の重要伝統的建造物群保存地区に選定されています。海と共に生きる日本の原風景を今に伝える場所として、多くの観光客を魅了しています。

Ine Fishing Village (The Ine no Funaya) are a unique coastal village located along Ine Bay in Ine Town, Kyoto Prefecture. The funaya are traditional wooden buildings built directly facing the sea, with the first floor used as a boathouse and the second floor serving as living space or storage.
These boathouses developed over centuries as part of the local fishing culture, dating back to the Edo period. Thanks to the calm waters of Ine Bay and the close relationship between daily life and fishing, the scenery has been well preserved. Today, about 230 funaya remain, and the area has been designated as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings by the Japanese government. Ine offers a rare glimpse into a way of life that exists in harmony with the sea.
