竜頭の滝は、奥日光を代表する景勝地のひとつで、紅葉の名所としても知られています。滝の両側を覆うカエデやナナカマドが赤や黄色に色づき、滝の白い流れとの美しいコントラストを生み出します。見頃は例年10月上旬から10月中旬にかけてで、奥日光の中でも比較的早く紅葉が始まる場所の一つです。滝の正面には観瀑台があり、色鮮やかな紅葉と滝の迫力を間近で楽しむことができます。写真は10月下旬のものです。
Ryuzu Falls (“Dragon’s Head Falls”) is one of the most scenic spots in Oku-Nikko and is especially famous for its autumn foliage. The maple and rowan trees on both sides of the waterfall turn brilliant shades of red and yellow, creating a striking contrast with the white cascade of the water. The best time to see the autumn colors is from early to mid-October, as Ryuzu Falls is among the first places in Oku-Nikko to show fall colors. From the viewing platform in front of the falls, visitors can enjoy the dynamic waterfall framed by vivid autumn leaves. The photo was taken in late October.
