気仙沼市 東日本大震災遺構・伝承館 / Ruins of the Great East Japan Earthquake Kesennuma City Memorial Museum

気仙沼市 東日本大震災遺構・伝承館は、2011年3月11日に発生した東日本大震災と津波の記録と教訓を後世に伝えるために整備された施設です。
館内には津波で被害を受けた旧気仙沼向洋高校の校舎が遺構として保存されており、当時の状況を実際に目で見ることができます。展示室では、震災当時の写真や映像、被災物品、証言などを通して被災の実態を伝え、命の尊さ、防災・減災の大切さを学ぶことができます。
