Daigoji Temple is a historic temple in Kyoto, famous for the grand cherry blossom viewing festival held by Toyotomi Hideyoshi. The garden of Sanpoin was designed by Hideyoshi himself and still retains its beautiful scenery. Additionally, the Five-Story Pagoda is the oldest wooden structure in Kyoto Prefecture, built in 951 during the Heian period. While Daigoji offers stunning seasonal landscapes, it is slightly away from Kyoto’s central area, making it a hidden gem with relatively few international visitors, allowing for a more tranquil experience.
