Norikuradake is famous for its Snow Walls, along with Tateyama. They are in the Hida Mountains, also known as the Northern Alps. Norikuradake is the southernmost peak in this mountain range. Its height is 3,026 meters above sea level. The bus route opens from Norikura-kogen to Tatamidaira (2,702 meters) during the summer season, from July to October, and to Katano-koya-guchi (2,618 meters) during the spring season, from April to June. We took a bus to Katano-koya-guchi, the entrance of Katano-hut, at 2,618 meters, and enjoyed the snow walls.
